Food Tours and tasting
Florence and Tuscany have always produced artisanal and local food specialities. Small food-production places, with high-quality products, grew both in the city, and in the farms of the Tuscan countryside, connected with animal husbandry, and local agricultural production. These products were then sold to nearby markets, normally from the central squares of regional towns and villages. At the end of the 1800’s, a decision was made to open two large food markets, those of San Lorenzo, and Sant Ambrogio, which exist to this day, and where you can still find stalls with fruit and vegetables produced by small companies, and artisanal cold meats and cheeses.
The programs we offer are divided into Food Tasting, offered from our Florence headquarters, or from where you are based, and Food Tours, with a minivan and a guide who speaks your language.
